Professor Nefyn Williams

Professor of Primary Care

Profile

Nefyn Williams is a professor in primary care based within the Department of Primary Care and Mental Health at the University of Liverpool. He has a specialist interest in primary care research. 
His programme of research has developed the evidence base for the effectiveness and cost-effectiveness of complex healthcare interventions in primary care and community settings.   

Nefyn Williams is an academic GP based in the University of Liverpool and a GP principal in Plas Menai Health Centre, Llanfairfechan in North Wales. His medical training was at the University of Oxford and also trained as an osteopath in London, which led onto a PhD with Cardiff University 
Nefyn Williams is a fellow of the Royal College of General Practitioners and a member of the Society of Academic Primary Care. 

Nefyn Williams is a member of the Steering Group and acts as the clinical expert on the project.
