Dr Emma Bray

Senior Research Fellow

Profile

Dr Emma Bray is a Senior Research Fellow based within the stroke research team at the University of Central Lancashire. She has a specialist interest in cardiovascular disease prevention, especially around behaviour change and healthy lifestyles. Emma has a degree in Psychology and Sports Science, and MSc and PhD in health psychology. Before coming to UCLan in 2013, she worked at the University of Birmingham focusing on clinical trials in the self-management of hypertension. She is now developing this interest into the area of pre-hypertension to build a preventative approach. Emma is a Chartered Psychologist and a qualified health and nutrition coach. In her free time Emma enjoys being out in nature with her family– camping, walking and cycling, is chair of governors at a primary school and can be regularly found lifting weights in the gym! Emma is the PI of REVERSE, overseeing the management and conduct of the project.
